2024 - 2025 BOARD OF SCHOOL TRUSTEES

The Logansport Community School Board meets on the second Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at the Administration Building unless otherwise posted.

The Logansport Community School Board is comprised of five members elected by the people. They serve four-year terms and are elected from individual single-member districts on a staggered basis during Primary elections in May. Members annually elect their president, vice-president, and secretary. The LCSC Board President is Mike McCord, Vice-President is Bill Cuppy, and Secretary is Milt Hess.

The Logansport Community School Board sets district policy, approves the corporation's budget, and appoints a superintendent, who in turn selects administrators to head the corporation's business and carry out the Board's policy. The Board Members may be reached by phone through the superintendent's office at (574) 722-2911 x10600 or by their individual email addresses below.

Bill Cuppy

Bill Cuppy was appointed to the Board in 2016. He graduated from Logansport High School in 1991 and Ball State University in 1996 with majors in Finance and Business Management. He is the Executive Director of the Logansport/Cass County Chamber of Commerce and Cass/Logansport Economic Development Organization.
Bill is an elder at Spring Creek Christian Church. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Cass County Visitor's Bureau, Industrial Park Board, Cass County Reading Railroad, Chamber of Commerce, and CLEDO. Bill is married to Shantel, a school nurse at Franklin Elementary. They have four children, Myles, Cassidy, Will, and Lauren.

Milt Hess, Secretary  hessm@lcsc.k12.in.us

Milt Hess was elected to the School Board in 2010.  He has served as the Board’s Delegate to the Indiana School Boards Association’s (ISBA) annual Delegate Assembly since that time, has served several years as the Legislative Liaison to the ISBA and on the ISBA’s Legislative Committee, and in 2020 was selected to represent Region 4 as a member of the ISBA’s Board of Directors.  He graduated from Logansport High School in 1976 and from Purdue University in 1980.  He is employed full-time as a sales and customer service representative at McCord’s Supply, Inc. in Logansport, and is employed part-time as a sports broadcaster with Iron Horse Broadcasting of Logansport.  He is a member of First United Methodist Church in Logansport, where he is a member of the choir and has served on the Trustees, Staff-Parish, and Memorial Funds Committees.  He is a member and Past President and Board member of the Kiwanis Club of Logansport.  He is a past Board member of the Logansport/Cass County Chamber of Commerce and is a member and past chairperson of the Chamber’s Ambassadors’ Committee.  He is married to LHS graduate and current Fairview Elementary School Principal, Chris Hess.  They have two adult LHS graduate children, daughter Hayley and son Tanner.

Becky Groff, Member groffr@lcsc.k12.in.us

Becky Groff was elected to the school board in 2024. She is a 1981 graduate of Andrean High School and a 1985 graduate of Indiana University Bloomington with a BS in Mathematics Education. She earned a MA in Mathematics Education in 2011 from Western Governors University. Becky taught high school math for 37 years, 20 of those at Logansport High School. She was the 2022 recipient of the Logansport Crystal Berry Award. Becky also coached swimming, track, and volleyball. She coached many academic teams and was the sponsor for numerous clubs at Logansport High School, Pioneer Jr-Sr High School and Ivy Tech Community College. Presently, Becky is an active member of Cross-Winds UMC, a volunteer at Logansport Memorial Hospital, and a driver for the DAV. She is involved in Noon Kiwanis Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, Dykeman Ladies League, and on the board for Pinecrest Apartments. Becky works part-time at Cass County Family YMCA and Dykeman Golf Course. She was married to R. Tod Groff for more than 33 years until his passing in 2021. Son, Ethan, is the Region 4 Director for Jobs for America's Graduates and daughter, Emma Myers, is a school counselor at Avon High School. Becky has two grandchildren, Finn (2 yrs) and Ginny B. (1yr).

Bill Cuppy

Mike McCord, President mccordm@lcsc.k12.in.us

Mike McCord was first elected to the Board in 2008 and re-elected in 2013, 2017, and 2021. Mike is a 1978 graduate of Logansport High School and a 1982 Graduate of Purdue University and its Krannert School of Management. He is the owner of McCORD’S Do it Best Lumber & Hardware, McCORD’S Business Supply, and McCORD’S Copy Print & Ship.  Besides the School Board, he is involved in numerous other community organizations.  He is currently the Vice President of the A.I.M. (Adolescent Intramural Mentoring) Program Board and the AIM High Park; President of the Logansport Redevelopment Commission and represents the school corporation on the Logansport Parks & Recreation Board.  He is a member of the All Saints Catholic church.  Mike is married to Amii who is a dance teacher and Studio Manager for the Kristie Wright School of Dance. He and Amii have four adult children who all graduated from LHS and Purdue University.  They are Ashleigh, Jake, Brantly, and Tucker.  Ashleigh and her husband Patrick are the parents of Mike’s first grandchild Cole.

Bill Cuppy

Brad Rozzi, Board Attorney  brozzi30@yahoo.com

Bradley A. Rozzi currently serves as attorney for the Board. Brad is a 1991 graduate of Logansport High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Winona State University (MN) in 1995. Brad received a Master's Degree from Indiana State University in 1998 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2002.
Brad succeeds his father-in-law and legal partner, John R. Hillis, who represented the School Board for 26 years. Brad, his wife Lyndsey, and their four children reside in Logansport.
